Do not compare your level of fitness with professional athletes.
Do not compare your level of fitness or skill with people on social media who make their living doing outrageous fitness tricks. (Note the age of these people, this is a young person game for a reason)
Unless of course, this is your goal.
If your goal is to be a fitness model, have a social media following for fitness stunts, or be a professional athlete then compare away.
If you’re like me and 99.9% of the people on the planet focus on lifelong general fitness.
Focus on movements and activities that build you up and restore you instead of tear you down.
Instead of trying to master the circus trick of a pistol squat on top of a kettlebell… simply do squats.
Instead of trying to follow a professional athlete’s training regimen whose job and livelihood is to train for their sport…do the minimum amount of training that results in the maximum result.
Stop jumping around so much and instead take care of your joints by reducing or eliminating high impact movements.
Do more restorative work like foam rolling, mobility work, walking, stretching, meditation, and sleep.
Focus on the long term wellbeing and care of your body instead of short-lived fitness feats.
If you do this you will be able to do things with your body that few others no matter your age.
