When you roll out of bed in the morning what is the first thing you think about?

How are you priming your mind and body for the day?

Does your nervous system get a stress hormone cocktail due to the sound of your alarm, waking up late, or simply thinking of all of the things you must get done?

How you start your day has a large impact on how your day will go.

How you prep your nervous system, mind, and body first thing primes the pump for the rest of the day.

Sure any day can do a 180, but you will have far more great days if you start them out filled with gratitude, calm, physical activity, and purpose.

One of the many reasons we chose to give homeschool a try was because we didn’t want to go through the artificially stressed induced morning cycle of getting our boys to school.  We wanted a calm morning going at our own pace and enjoying each other’s company instead of a knockdown drag-out race to school drop-off.

When I coach the 5:00 am training session I get up at 3:45 am so that I can have a sit-down breakfast and a few minutes of calm without having to rush out the door. The mornings I don’t do this I feel like I am trying to catch up all day.

How you treat your mornings has a large impact on how the rest of your day will pan out.

Good mornings set the groundwork for great days.
